have you ever arranged to met up with someone you know from Twitter who uses a cartoon for their avatar? Until i actually saw the person I just met, I'm pretty sure my mind thought I was meeting a cartoon.
So I really want to use the new Path. Part of me genuinely wants it to replace Facebook. But the sensible part of me if telling me not to invest the time because between having an amazing product, incredible team and all the connections in the world…Path will get acquired and shut down at some point in the not so distant future and won't turn into an industry giant that stays around for the next decade+…although, part of believes it could.
On the other hand, if +Dave Morin came out and explicitly said he had no motivation to sell in the short-medium term (next 5 years) then I'd jump in head first.
Are you going in head first with Path? Treading carefully? Or staying well clear? And why?
